Middle Class Love Movie Review: A Relatable Gen Z Desi Rom-Com?

From saving pocket money to trying to look “cool” on a budget, our lives are full of drama. This is exactly what the movie Middle Class Love (2022) tries to capture. Performance and Chemistry

Prit Kamani is the soul of this movie. He has that high-energy, “boy next door” vibe that works perfectly for a college rom-com. He makes the frustration of living in a budget-conscious home feel very real.

Eisha Singh and Khushi Joshi both do a decent job. Eisha, especially, brings a lot of warmth to her character. Their chemistry with Prit is fresh, which is exactly what a youth-centric movie needs. It doesn’t feel like they are trying too hard to act; they just seem like regular college kids.

Director Ratnaa Sinha previously gave us Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana, which was a huge hit in the heartland of India. While that movie focused on small-town traditions and revenge, Middle Class Love is much more modern and energetic.

However, you can still see her signature style—focusing on family values and the pressure parents put on kids. If Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana was about the “aspirations” of small towns, this film is about the “frustrations” of the middle class. It’s lighter, faster, and definitely more colorful.

The Technical Side: Hindi Dubbing and Audio Quality

Now, let’s talk about something specific: the audio and dubbing. Even though this is an original Hindi film, modern Bollywood movies often use ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement) in post-production.

In some scenes of Middle Class Love, the dubbing feels a bit “too clean” or slightly disconnected from the outdoor environment. While the lip-sync is perfect, the background noise sometimes feels suppressed, making the dialogues sound like they were recorded in a tight studio rather than a noisy college campus.
