I recently watched Thoda Lutf Thoda Ishq on a lazy Sunday afternoon. If you are a fan of Sanjay Mishra, you know what to expect. He always brings a certain charm to the screen. While Paranthe Wali Gali was about emotions and roots, this one is purely for laughs. I feel the director tried too hard to make this a commercial hit. Technical Quality & Hindi Dubbing

Now, let’s talk about the technical side. I watched the 4K version of this movie. The resolution is actually quite good. The colors look bright and the street scenes of Delhi look very real. The skin tones of the actors look natural in high definition.

However, I have a major complaint about the Hindi dubbing and audio sync. Even though it is a Hindi movie, the post-production dubbing feels very loose. In many scenes, I noticed that the lip-sync does not match the audio at all. It feels like the actors recorded their lines in a hurry. For a 4K experience, this is very distracting. I expect the sound to be as sharp as the picture. The background music also feels a bit too loud at times. It hides the dialogues of Rajpal Yadav, which is a shame because his timing is usually perfect.

Is the Comedy Good?

I laughed in a few places, mostly because of Sanjay Mishra’s expressions. He has a way of saying simple things that makes them funny. Rajpal Yadav also does his usual energetic act. Should you watch this in 4K? Honestly, I don’t think so. While the 4K picture is clean, the movie itself is not a visual masterpiece. It is a simple comedy that you can watch while doing chores. I would call this a “one-time watch” on a normal screen. The bad lip-sync in the dubbing makes the 4K experience less enjoyable. It is better to watch it on your phone or a standard TV.

Conclusion

Thoda Lutf Thoda Ishq is a decent film if you have nothing else to do. The acting is the only thing that saves it. Sanjay Mishra and Rajpal Yadav are the stars here. But the weak story and poor audio-sync are big letdowns for me. It lacks the magic of Sachin Gupta’s earlier work.
