Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas Movie Review: Karan Deol and Sahher Bambba’s Romantic Debut

I recently watched the movie Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, and I have a lot to share about it. This film marks the big debut of Karan Deol, who is Sunny Deol’s son. It also introduces the talented Sahher Bambba. I went in with a lot of hope because the songs were already hits. The movie is a romantic drama set against the beautiful mountains of Himachal Pradesh.

The Story and Performances

The story is quite simple and sweet. Karan plays a guy named Karan Sehgal who runs an adventure camp in Manali. Sahher plays Saher Sethi, a popular vlogger from Delhi. She goes on a trek with Karan to review his camp. At first, they don’t get along. But as they climb the mountains, they fall in love.

I felt that Karan Deol looks very innocent on screen. He has that “boy next door” charm. However, his acting needs more work. In some emotional scenes, I felt he was a bit stiff. On the other hand, Sahher Bambba was a surprise package. She is confident and acts very naturally. Their chemistry is okay, but it could have been deeper. Sunny Deol as a Director

Sunny Deol directed this film. We know him for his action movies. But here, he tried to show a soft, romantic side. If I compare this to his previous film Dillagi, this one feels much more modern. But if you look at Ghayal Once Again, that film had more pace. In this movie, the first half is very slow. It feels like a travel video of Manali. Sunny Paji focuses a lot on showing the hero as a mountain man. It is a clean film that you can watch with your family. I have also reviewed other movies on our site hdfolders.com, where I talk about similar family dramas.

Technical Quality & Hindi Dubbing

This is the part where the film shines and also fails a bit. I watched it in high definition. The 4K resolution is amazing. The mountains look real and very beautiful. The color grading is not over-the-top. It looks natural and easy on the eyes. The green forests and blue skies look great in every frame.

However, I have to talk about the Hindi dubbing and sync. Since it is a Hindi movie, the dialogue is recorded in a studio later. I noticed that the lip-sync was off in several scenes. When Karan speaks, sometimes the voice does not match his mouth movements perfectly. This took me out of the story a few times. The sound mixing is good, but the dubbing quality could have been much better. It felt a bit robotic in the emotional parts.

Viewer’s Verdict: 4K or One-Time View?

Now, the big question. Should you watch this in 4K? If you are a fan of beautiful scenery and mountains, then yes. The visuals are the best part of the film. It looks like a high-budget nature documentary at times.

But if you are looking for a deep story, this might disappoint you. The plot is very old-fashioned. The villain is the typical rich family member who hates the poor hero. Because of this, I think it is just a one-time view. It is not a movie you would want to watch again and again.

Conclusion

Overall, Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas is a decent attempt to launch two new faces. The music is great, and the locations are beautiful. But the weak script and the dubbing issues hold it back. If you have some free time on a weekend, you can give it a try.
