I recently watched the classic action film Na-Insaafi on a lazy Sunday afternoon. This movie stars Shatrughan Sinha and Mandakini in lead roles. It also features Chunky Pandey and Sonam. In comparison, Na-Insaafi feels more like a standard family drama. It does not have the same “big” feeling as Krantiveer. But it still shows his style of strong dialogues. Technical Quality & Hindi Dubbing

I watched the new 4K version of this film. I was curious to see how an old movie looks in high resolution. The 4K scan makes the colors look very fresh. The reds and blues in the outfits really pop out. However, I noticed some issues with the Hindi dubbing.

In the 80s, actors often recorded their voices later. In this movie, the Hindi dubbing does not always match the lip-sync. Sometimes, the character finishes talking, but the voice keeps going. It felt a bit distracting to me. The background score is also very loud. It sometimes hides the actual dialogues. The 4K version cleans up the picture, but it cannot fix the old audio problems. I wish the sound engineering was a bit more polished for this release.

Viewer’s Verdict: Is 4K Worth It?

You might wonder if you should watch this in 4K. I think if you are a huge fan of Shatrughan Sinha, go for it. The picture is clear and sharp. You can see the details in the sets and costumes. But for a normal viewer, this is just a one-time view. The story is predictable. The technical flaws in the dubbing make it hard to enjoy fully. It is a good trip down memory lane, but it is not a masterpiece. I suggest watching it once for the nostalgia.

Conclusion

Na-Insaafi is a classic example of 80s Bollywood. It has great stars and loud action. Shatrughan Sinha is the soul of the movie. While the 4K update looks good, the audio and dubbing are weak. It doesn’t reach the levels of Mehul Kumar’s later hits. It is a fun movie for a one-time watch with your family.
