Mission Extreme Movie Review: Arifin Shuvoo’s Hindi Dubbed Action Thriller (2023)

I recently watched the Hindi dubbed version of Mission Extreme, a high-octane action thriller starring Arifin Shuvoo. I was quite curious to see how this Bangladeshi blockbuster would look in Hindi. After the success of movies like Dhaka Attack, expectations were high for this one. I wanted to see if the Hindi version retains the same energy as the original.

The Story and Arifin Shuvoo’s Performance

The movie follows an elite police unit trying to stop a terrorist plot. I found the plot to be quite direct and fast-paced. Arifin Shuvoo looks incredibly fit and plays the role of a brave officer with ease. I liked his body language during the intense chase sequences. He carries the movie on his shoulders.

I noticed that the directors, Sunny Sanwar and Faisal Ahmed, tried to make this film feel like a global thriller. If you want to know more about the cast, you can check the official Wikipedia page. Compared to their previous film Dhaka Attack, I think this movie has much better action choreography. However, I felt that the emotional connection in the first half was a bit weak.

Technical Quality & Hindi Dubbing

This is where things get interesting for me. I watched the movie in 4K resolution, and the clarity was amazing. The color grading is very professional. It has a gritty, dark look that fits a crime thriller. I liked how the night scenes were handled without losing detail. You can find similar high-quality reviews on hdfolders.com.

However, I have some mixed feelings about the Hindi dubbing. While the voice chosen for Arifin Shuvoo is decent, it does not always match his intensity. I observed that the lip-sync was off in several important dialogues. At times, the Hindi words felt too long for the lip movements on screen. I also felt the background characters had very generic voices. This made some serious scenes feel a bit flat. The dubbing lacks the “desi” punch that we usually see in big South Indian dubbed movies.

Comparing with Previous Works

I have followed Sunny Sanwar’s work for a while. He knows how to write police procedurals because of his real-life experience. I think Mission Extreme is a step up in terms of scale. But, I missed the tight screenplay of his earlier hits. The villain in this movie was okay, but I wanted more depth. I felt the pacing slowed down in the middle section. Despite that, the climax is quite satisfying and well-shot.

Viewer’s Verdict: 4K Watch or One-Time View?

Is Mission Extreme worth your time? I would say it is a solid one-time watch for action fans. If you have a 4K TV and a fast internet connection, definitely watch it in 4K. The visuals are the best part of this film. But if you are looking for a deep story with perfect dubbing, you might be a bit disappointed. I recommend it to anyone who likes police dramas and wants to see what the Bangladeshi film industry is achieving.

Conclusion

I enjoyed the movie for its scale and Arifin’s hard work. The technical side is strong, but the Hindi dubbing could have been much better. It is a good effort that shows how far South Asian cinema has come. I hope the next part has better voice acting for the Hindi audience.

My Rating: 3.5/5
