I recently watched the Trimurti movie again on its new 4K YouTube release. This film stars Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, and Shah Rukh Khan. When it first came out in 1995, everyone had huge expectations. It was a big-budget project by the legendary Subhash Ghai. I remember the hype around the song “Bol Radha Bol.” Watching it today in high definition felt like a trip down memory lane. I wanted to see if the magic of these three superstars still works.

Why Trimurti Still Matters Today

The story is a classic masala tale of three brothers. They get separated and then reunite to take down a villain. I think the chemistry between Jackie, Anil, and SRK is the best part. Jackie Shroff plays the tough elder brother. Anil Kapoor is the fun middle brother. Shah Rukh Khan is the energetic youngest one. I noticed that Shah Rukh was very young here. You can see his early “King Khan” energy in every scene. The movie tries to be a grand epic. It has emotions, action, and plenty of drama.

Comparing Trimurti to Other Subhash Ghai Films

I have seen many films by Subhash Ghai. If I compare this to Ram Lakhan or Khalnayak, it feels a bit weak. Ghai is known for making “larger than life” movies. In Ram Lakhan, the brotherly bond felt more real to me. In Khalnayak, the villain was more iconic. Trimurti has great scale, but the script feels a bit messy. Technical Quality & Hindi Dubbing

Now, let’s talk about the technical side of this YouTube release. The 4K resolution is surprisingly good. I liked how the colors looked on my screen. The old film grains are mostly gone. Everything looks sharp and clean. However, I have a big complaint about the audio.

I noticed some major issues with the Hindi dubbing and sync. Even though this is an original Hindi film, the 4K version feels strange. In many scenes, the sound does not match the lip movements. It feels like the audio was cleaned up using poor software. The voices sound a bit robotic at times. I found this very distracting during emotional scenes. If you are a fan of clear sound, this might bother you. The background music sometimes drowns out the dialogue. I wish they had fixed the lip-sync before uploading it.

Viewer’s Verdict: 4K Worthy or One-Time Watch?

Is this movie worth a 4K watch? I would say it is a one-time view for the nostalgia. If you love 90s Bollywood, you will enjoy seeing the stars in high quality. The visuals of the mountains and the big sets look great in 4K. But the poor audio sync makes it hard to watch twice. I think it is better to watch it while doing other work. Do not expect a perfect cinematic experience. It is a good way to relive the past, but it is not a masterpiece.

Conclusion

I had fun watching Trimurti again, but it has flaws. The stars are great, but the technical errors in the dubbing are sad. Subhash Ghai has done much better work in the past.
