This is where things get interesting for a modern audience. I watched the 4K version of the movie. Since it is an old film, the 4K upscale is decent but not perfect. The colors look much better now. The skin tones look natural, and the outdoor shots are quite clear. However, don’t expect it to look like a movie shot in 2024.

Now, let’s talk about the Hindi dubbing. I am very picky about this. Usually, the Hindi voices in South movies sound very loud or fake. In this dubbed version, the voice for Arjun Sarja is actually quite good. It matches his tough personality.

But I did notice some issues. The lip-sync is off in several scenes. When the characters speak long sentences, the Hindi words don’t match the mouth movements. Also, the background music sometimes drowns out the dialogue. I wish the sound mixing was a bit cleaner. Still, for a YouTube or OTT release, it is better than many low-quality dubs I have seen before.

Viewer’s Verdict: 4K Watch or One-Time View?

Is this movie worth your time? I think it depends on what you like. If you are a die-hard fan of Arjun Sarja, you will enjoy it. The action scenes are still fun to watch. The 4K resolution makes the old frames look fresh.

However, if you have already seen Ghulam, you know the story already. In my view, this is a one-time watch. You don’t need to sit through a 4K version unless you really love the visuals. It is a great movie to play in the background on a Sunday afternoon. It gives a nice dose of nostalgia.
