Technical Quality & Hindi Dubbing

I recently watched the restored version of this film. I want to talk about the 4K resolution specifically. I noticed that the picture is much cleaner now. The colors of the outfits look bright and clear. The skin tones of the actors look very natural. I really liked how the outdoor scenes in the garden look in high definition.

However, I have some complaints about the Hindi dubbing and audio. Since this is an old movie, the ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement) is very obvious. I noticed many times where the actors’ lip movements did not match the sound. In the 4K version, these flaws are even easier to spot. The background music is also a bit too loud in some scenes. It sometimes drowns out the funny dialogues. I wish the sound engineering was a bit more polished in the remastered version.

Viewer’s Verdict: 4K or One-Time View?

I get asked a lot if old movies are worth a 4K watch. For this movie, I would say yes. If you are a fan of Aamir or Salman, you must see it in high quality. The clarity helps you catch small details in their funny expressions. However, if you are just watching for the story, a regular HD version is fine too. I don’t think this is a one-time view movie. I have seen it ten times, and I will see it again. It is a perfect movie to watch with your family or friends on a weekend.
