I watched this scene in a remastered 4K format. I have to say, the 4K resolution is a bit of a mixed bag. The skin tones look much more real now. You can see the fine lines on Raaj Kumar’s face. The color grading has been improved to look less “yellow” than the original prints. It feels fresh and clean.

However, I noticed some big issues with the Hindi dubbing. Back in the 80s, sync sound wasn’t a thing. Most of the film was dubbed in a studio later. In this 4K version, the high-quality audio makes the mistakes obvious. Sometimes, Raaj Kumar’s lips move, but the sound comes a split second later. This lip-sync issue broke my focus a few times. The background score also feels a bit too loud compared to the vocals. I wish they had cleaned up the audio tracks as much as they cleaned the video.
