I recently re-watched Aitraaz on a 4K screen, and I was blown away. Even after twenty years, this movie feels fresh and bold. Most people talk about Priyanka Chopra’s negative role. However, I noticed a few things about the Hindi dubbing and audio sync. Since this is an older film, some parts of the dialogue were clearly re-recorded in a studio (ADR). In the 4K version, the high-quality sound makes the dubbing gaps more obvious. Sometimes, the lip-sync does not match the heavy emotional dialogues perfectly.

I found the background score a bit too loud in some scenes. It almost hides the actor’s natural voice. But the overall clarity is great. You can hear every word clearly, which is important for a court drama. The dubbing quality is good, but it shows its age in the high-def format.

Viewer’s Verdict: Is it Worth a 4K Watch?

Is Aitraaz worth watching in 4K? My answer is yes, but mostly for the performances. If you are a fan of Kareena Kapoor or Priyanka Chopra, you will love the crisp details. You can see the expressions and the tears very clearly.

However, if you have seen it many times on TV, it might feel like a one-time view. The 4K doesn’t add new “action” or “effects.” It only makes the drama look better. I would say watch it once in high quality to appreciate the cinematography. It is a classic that deserves that much respect.

Conclusion

Aitraaz remains a brave film in Indian cinema. Kareena Kapoor’s performance in the end is the cherry on top. The direction is solid, and the story is still relevant. While the Hindi dubbing has some minor sync issues in 4K, it doesn’t ruin the experience.
