The most important part is the Hindi dubbing and audio sync. Since this is an old movie, the audio was re-mastered. I noticed that the Hindi dubbing quality is a bit hit or miss. In some scenes, the lip-sync does not match perfectly. It feels like the dialogue was recorded in a studio much later. I found this a bit distracting during emotional scenes. The background score is loud, sometimes hiding the actual dialogues. I wish they had worked more on the audio clarity.

Viewer’s Verdict: 4K or One-Time View?

Is it worth watching this in 4K? If you are a big fan of 90s nostalgia, then yes. The songs like “Akha India Janta Hai” look great in high quality. But if you are looking for a modern cinematic experience, you might be disappointed.

For me, this is a one-time view if you are watching the full movie. But for the songs, you can watch them on repeat. The 4K version doesn’t fix the slow pacing of the second half. It is a good movie to have in the background while you relax on a Sunday.

I enjoyed re-watching Jaan Tere Naam for the music and Ronit Roy’s performance. It is a sweet reminder of a simpler time in Bollywood. The technical jump to 4K is good but the audio sync issues pull it down. If you love old-school romance, give it a try.
