सुनील शेट्टी और रवीना टंडन की बैंक लूट वाली जबरदस्त कॉमेडी फिल्म: Review

I recently sat down to watch the classic bank loot comedy Ek Se Badhkar Ek, starring Suniel Shetty and Raveena Tandon. If you grew up in the 90s or early 2000s, you know these two were a hit pair. This movie is all about a crazy bank heist that goes wrong in the funniest way possible. I remember seeing bits of it on TV, but watching it again was a different experience.

You can read more about the movie’s history on its official Wikipedia page. It is a light-hearted film that does not take itself too serious. I found the chemistry between Suniel and Raveena quite fresh even today.

The Plot and Comedy Timing

The story revolves around a massive inheritance and a bank robbery. I liked how the director tried to mix suspense with loud comedy. Suniel Shetty plays a tough guy with a funny side. Raveena Tandon looks great and her comic timing is spot on. I felt that the supporting cast, including Shekhar Suman, added a lot of flavor to the scenes.

The jokes are simple and easy to understand. I did not have to think much while watching. It is the kind of movie I would watch on a Sunday afternoon. If you like heist movies that make you laugh, you should also check out our review of other comedy hits on HDFolders.com.

Technical Quality & Hindi Dubbing

Since I watched the remastered 4K version, I have a few things to say. First, the 4K resolution is surprisingly good for an older film. The colors look bright and the picture is clean. I could see the details on the actors’ faces much better now. However, the color grading feels a bit too sharp in some outdoor scenes.

Now, let’s talk about the Hindi dubbing and audio. Even though this is a Hindi movie, the remastered version often has audio sync issues. I noticed that the lip-sync was slightly off in the action scenes. The background score sometimes drowns out the dialogues. I felt that the sound engineering could have been better for this 4K release. The voices sound a bit robotic in some parts, which took me out of the experience.

Director’s Vision: Kundan Shah Style

The movie is directed by Kundan Shah. I have watched his other films like Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro. Compared to that masterpiece, Ek Se Badhkar Ek feels a bit weak. Kundan Shah is known for dark satire and smart comedy. In this film, I saw more slapstick humor.

I think the director tried to go mainstream here. It lacks the “deep” social message his older movies had. But as a pure entertainer, it works fine. If you compare it to his work in Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, you will find this movie much louder. I still enjoyed it, but I prefer his more subtle films.

Viewer’s Verdict: Is it worth a 4K Watch?

Is this movie worth your 4K screen? Well, if you are a die-hard fan of Suniel Shetty, then yes. The visual upgrade is nice to see. But for a regular viewer, I think this is a one-time view. The plot is predictable and the comedy is a bit dated.

I would suggest watching it on a phone or a laptop first. You don’t need a high-end home theater for this one. The audio issues I mentioned make the 4K experience a bit annoying at times. It is a good movie to relive old memories, but not a must-have for your 4K collection.

Conclusion

I had a decent time watching this bank loot drama. It brought back many memories of the early 2000s. The action is okay, and the songs are still catchy. While the technical side has some flaws, the entertainment value is high. I recommend it if you want a simple laugh without any stress.
