I recently watched the black-and-white classic Adhikar. It stars the multi-talented Kishore Kumar and the graceful Usha Kiran. This movie was a huge hit back in 1954. Even after so many years, it feels very fresh. I wanted to see if this old gem still works for today’s audience.

I felt that the background music sometimes becomes louder than the dialogues. It feels like the new sound mixing was a bit rushed. While the 4K visuals are great, the audio sync could have been better. If you are someone who gets annoyed by minor lip-sync errors, you might find it a bit distracting. But for a movie from 1954, I think they did a decent job.

It is not just a one-time view for me. I would love to watch the songs again. The music is very soothing. However, the dubbing issues I mentioned might bother you if you watch it on a very large screen.
