I finally sat down to watch Sooryavanshi, the big Akshay Kumar police film. I had high hopes for this one. It is part of Rohit Shetty’s famous cop universe. If you like cars flying and heavy action, this movie is for you. I felt a lot of excitement while watching the entry scenes.

That is a good thing because the topic is serious. Rohit Shetty knows how to make a hero look like a king. He did the same here for Akshay.

Technical Quality & Hindi Dubbing

I watched this movie in 4K resolution. I must say, the quality is great. Every detail on the police uniforms was clear. The colors in the movie are very bright and look deep. The color grading makes the action scenes look like a Hollywood film.

I want to talk about the Hindi dubbing and audio quality. Since this is an original Hindi movie, the “dubbing” here refers to the ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement). I noticed that the lip-sync is perfect in most scenes. Sometimes in big action movies, the loud music hides the dialogues.

But in this film, the voices are very clear. I could hear every word Akshay said even during the loud explosions. The background score is also very powerful. It matches the high energy of the scenes. I didn’t feel any delay between the lip movements and the sound.

Viewer’s Verdict: 4K or One-time Watch?

Is this movie worth a 4K watch? I would say yes. If you have a good home theater or a 4K TV, you should watch it in high resolution. The flying cars and the blast scenes look amazing in 4K. It makes the experience feel like you are in a cinema hall.

However, if you are not a big action fan, it might feel like a one-time watch. The plot is something we have seen before. But for the visuals alone, I recommend the high-quality version. It is much better than watching a low-quality clip on a phone.
