I recently sat down to rewatch a classic from the golden era of Indian action cinema. The movie is Commando, starring the legendary Mithun Chakraborty. Technical Quality & Hindi Dubbing

I watched the 4K version of this film recently. I have to say, the 4K resolution makes a big difference. The colors look very clean and sharp. They fixed the old grainy look that used to bother me on old DVDs. The skin tones look natural, and the outdoor scenes look very bright and clear.

However, I found a big problem with the audio. Since many of these old films are being restored, the Hindi dubbing quality is a bit hit-or-miss. In some scenes, I noticed the Hindi dubbing does not match the lip-sync at all. It feels like the voices were recorded in a small room and then placed over the video.

The background music is sometimes too loud. It drowns out the dialogue. I think the team that did the remastering should have worked more on the audio balance. While the video is 4K, the sound still feels like it’s from an old tape. This ruins the experience a little bit for me.
