I recently watched Dangerous Officer, which is the Hindi dubbed version of the Telugu movie Prathinidhi 2. I have always liked Nara Rohit for his unique script choices. He usually picks movies that have a strong social message. After a long break, he is back with this political thriller. I was quite curious to see if this film lives up to the hype of the first part.

The story follows a news journalist played by Nara Rohit. He is honest and bold. He wants to change how people think about voting and politics. I watched the 4K version of Dangerous Officer. I must say, the picture quality is great. The colors are very bright and clear. The newsroom sets look very real in high resolution. The camera work is decent, especially during the emotional scenes.

However, I have some complaints about the Hindi dubbing. The voice chosen for Nara Rohit does not really suit his personality. In the original version, his voice is very deep and powerful. In the Hindi version, the voice feels a bit light.

Also, the lip-sync is not perfect. There are many scenes where the character finishes speaking, but the Hindi audio continues for a second. This made me feel a bit disconnected from the story. The translation of the heavy political terms is also very basic. I think they could have done a much better job with the dubbing script.

Viewer’s Verdict: 4K Watch or One-Time View?

Is it worth watching in 4K? My honest answer is no. While the 4K resolution looks nice, the movie itself is not a big visual spectacle. There are no massive action scenes or beautiful songs that require 4K.

I would call this a one-time watch. You can enjoy it on your phone or laptop while traveling. It is a good movie to watch if you are bored and want to see some political drama. But don’t expect it to be a masterpiece like Nara Rohit’s earlier hits.

Conclusion

Dangerous Officer has a good message about voting and honesty. Nara Rohit gives a solid performance as usual. But the slow pacing and average Hindi dubbing pull the movie down.
