I recently watched the movie मौत की तारीख पता थी फिर भी किया प्यार: क्या होगा इस कहानी का दर्दनाक अंत? (originally known as Radhe Shyam). This film is a massive romantic drama. It features Prabhas and Pooja Hegde in lead roles. I had high hopes for this one. The story is about a famous palmist named Vikramaditya. He can see the future of anyone. However, he falls in love with a girl who has no future in his predictions. I found the concept very interesting and unique.

The Story and My Experience

I liked how the movie starts. It takes us to beautiful locations in Europe. Vikramaditya says he does not have a “love line” on his palm. But then he meets Prerana. She is a doctor. My heart felt for their chemistry. The struggle between fate and love is the main point here. I think the first half is quite slow. It takes time to build the romance. But the second half picks up some speed. I wanted to see more tension between the characters. Some scenes felt a bit too long for me.

Director’s Comparison: Radha Krishna Kumar

I have seen Radha Krishna Kumar’s previous film, Jil. That movie was a stylish action thriller. In this film, he tried something very different. He moved from action to a deep romantic fantasy. I noticed that he loves great visuals. Both movies look very clean and stylish. However, Jil had a better pace. This movie feels a bit heavy at times. I believe the director focused more on the look than the script. I still appreciate his vision for making every frame look like a painting.

Technical Quality & Hindi Dubbing

I watched this movie in 4K resolution. I must say, the 4K quality is amazing. The colors are very bright and rich. The Italian landscapes look real and beautiful. I liked the color grading a lot. It has a warm, vintage feel. The CGI used for the ship climax is also quite good.

Now, let’s talk about the Hindi dubbing. I felt the Hindi dubbing was a bit of a mixed bag. The voice actor for Prabhas did a decent job. But I noticed that the lip-sync was off in several scenes. Sometimes the dialogue ends, but the character’s lips are still moving. It breaks the flow for me. The Hindi dialogues are simple. They do not use very hard words. I think the emotional scenes needed more “jaan” in the voice acting. It felt a bit flat in the heavy emotional parts.

Viewer’s Verdict: Is it Worth a 4K Watch?

I think this movie is worth a 4K watch if you love visuals. If you have a big 4K TV at home, you will enjoy the scenery. The cinematography is the best part of the film. However, if you are looking for a very deep story, you might find it average. I would suggest watching it once for the scale and the music. It is a one-time watch for most people. I don’t think I would watch it again and again. It is a visual treat but a bit weak in soul.

Conclusion

I enjoyed the visual journey of this film. Prabhas looks great and Pooja Hegde is very charming. The music is also very soothing. The Hindi dubbing could have been better to match the lip-sync. The story had a lot of potential but felt a bit slow in the middle. If you like romantic movies with a touch of fantasy, give it a try.
