I recently sat down to watch the 4K version of the classic film Dulha Bikta Hai. This movie stars Raj Babbar and Anita Raj in lead roles. It is a social drama from the 1980s. In some scenes, I noticed that the Hindi dubbing does not match the lip-sync perfectly. I felt that the voices sounded a bit too “studio-like.” They didn’t always match the outdoor environment of the scenes. While the background music is clear, the dialogue delivery feels slightly off in a few places. If you are a fan of perfect sync, this might bother you a little.

Director’s Vision: Anwar Pasha vs Other Films

The movie was directed by Anwar Pasha. If I compare this to his other work, like Darinda, I see a pattern. He likes to pick social issues. He focuses on the pain of the common man. However, Dulha Bikta Hai feels more grounded than some of his other projects.

However, if you only watch movies for high-speed action, this might feel slow. For me, it is more than a one-time view. I think it is a “Must-Watch” for anyone who likes meaningful stories. The 4K version makes the experience much more immersive. You can truly feel the emotions of the characters because the visuals are so clear.

I really enjoyed revisiting this movie. The 4K restoration is mostly a success. The picture is bright and the story is deep. My only issue remains the slight mismatch in the Hindi dubbing.
