I recently re-watched the movie Ek Se Badhkar Ek, starring Sunil Shetty and Raveena Tandon. If you grew up in the early 2000s, you know this duo was iconic. I watched the 4K remastered version of this film. I must say, the picture quality is a big surprise. The colors are very bright and look real. The skin tones are clear and the old “grainy” look is mostly gone. The 4K resolution makes the dance numbers look much better.

However, I have some thoughts on the Hindi dubbing and audio. In many scenes, the lip-sync does not match the voice. This often happens in movies from that era where they did “post-sync” in a studio. Sometimes the voice feels too loud for the room.

I noticed that the background music often overlaps with the dialogues. In the 4K version, the audio clarity is better, but the sync issues become more visible. If you are looking for a perfect technical experience, you might be disappointed. But if you just want to enjoy the jokes, it is fine.

Viewer’s Verdict: 4K or One-Time View?

Should you watch this in 4K? I think yes, but only if you are a big fan of the actors. The 4K version really brings out the beauty of the songs. Raveena Tandon looks amazing in the high-def frames.

For a regular viewer, this is a great one-time watch. It is a good movie to play on a Sunday afternoon with your family. It is clean, funny, and has a lot of heart. You don’t need to think too much while watching it. Just sit back and enjoy the madness.
