I have seen many films by Director David Dhawan. Compared to movies like Coolie No. 1 or Judwaa, I think Dulhe Raja has better dialogue. Kader Khan wrote the dialogues himself, and it shows.

In Coolie No. 1, the comedy is more physical. In Dulhe Raja, the comedy comes from the clever wordplay. I think this movie is much more balanced than his later works. It doesn’t rely on loud noises to make you laugh. It relies on great acting and sharp writing.

Is this movie worth a 4K watch? My answer is yes, but only if you are a true fan. If you love the golden era of 90s comedy, the 4K version will make you happy. The visuals are great, even if the audio sync is a bit lazy.

However, if you are just looking for a quick laugh, a one-time view on a standard streaming platform is enough. You don’t need a high-end home theater to enjoy Kader Khan’s jokes. But for me, seeing these legends in high clarity was a great experience.
