कमल हसन की छोटी बेटी की पहली फिल्म: Vivaan Shah और Gurmeet Choudhary की जबरदस्त कॉमेडी मूवी रिव्यू

I finally sat down to watch Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana. This film marks the big debut of Akshara Haasan. She is the younger daughter of the legendary Kamal Haasan. The movie also stars Vivaan Shah and Gurmeet Choudhary in lead roles. I was curious to see how this romantic comedy would turn out. It promised a lot of fun and a unique story. You can check more details about the cast on Wikipedia.

The Story and Characters

The plot follows a young man named Laaddoo, played by Vivaan Shah. He is ambitious but quite irresponsible. He falls in love with Laali, played by Akshara Haasan. Things get complicated when Laali gets pregnant before marriage. Laaddoo gets scared and leaves her. Then enters Gurmeet Choudhary, who plays a royal prince. He is ready to marry Laali despite her past.

I felt the story had a lot of potential. It tries to mix traditional values with modern problems. Vivaan Shah acts like a confused lover quite well. Akshara Haasan looks pretty but her acting felt a bit stiff in some scenes. Gurmeet Choudhary adds a lot of charm to the screen. He looks like a real prince.

Technical Quality & Hindi Dubbing

I watched this movie in high definition. The 4K resolution makes the colors look very bright. The wedding scenes are filled with gold and red tones. The color grading is warm and easy on the eyes. However, I noticed something strange about the audio.

Even though it is a Hindi movie, the Hindi dubbing felt off. In many scenes, the lip-sync does not match the voices. It felt like the actors recorded their lines much later. This happens a lot in low-budget films. But for a movie with such big names, I expected better. The background music is often too loud. It sometimes hides the actual dialogues. If you enjoy crisp audio, this might bother you a little bit.

Comparing to Director Manish Tiwary

The director, Manish Tiwary, previously made a film called Issaq. That was a dark and serious take on Romeo and Juliet. This movie is the complete opposite. It is loud, colorful, and full of jokes. I think Manish struggled to find the right balance here. Issaq had a very strong soul. Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana feels a bit scattered. It tries to be a family drama and a slapstick comedy at the same time. You can read my thoughts on similar films at hdfolders.com.

What I Liked and Disliked

I liked the supporting cast a lot. Saurabh Shukla and Sanjay Mishra are great as always. They bring the much-needed laughs. The songs are also catchy and fun to listen to.

What I did not like was the pacing. The movie feels too long in the second half. Some jokes feel very old and forced. I also expected Akshara to show more emotions. Since she is Kamal Haasan’s daughter, the pressure was high. She has a long way to go to match her sister Shruti Haasan.

Viewer’s Verdict: 4K Watch or One-Time View?

Is this movie worth a 4K watch? In my opinion, no. The 4K quality is good, but the content does not demand it. It is not a visual masterpiece like a big action film.

This is strictly a one-time view. You can watch it on a Sunday afternoon with your family. It is a light-hearted film that does not require much brainpower. If you are a fan of Gurmeet Choudhary, you will enjoy his entry. But don’t expect a deep or life-changing story.

Conclusion

Overall, the movie is an average entertainer. It has some funny moments and good music. The lead actors try their best, but the script is weak. The technical issues with the dubbing also pull it down.

My Rating: 2.5/5
