I recently watched the movie Prassthanam, starring Sanjay Dutt and Chunky Pandey. I was curious about the “dangerous plan” and the big betrayal everyone was talking about. The skin tones look very real. The color grading is a bit dark and moody. This fits the serious theme of the movie. I liked that the blacks were deep and did not look washed out.

I also paid close attention to the Hindi dubbing and audio. Since this is a Hindi movie, you expect the lip-sync to be perfect. But in some scenes, I noticed the ADR (recording after the shoot) felt a bit off. The voices sometimes felt too loud for the room. It didn’t always match the mouth movements perfectly. I have seen better audio work in other films. However, the background music was great. It made the betrayal scenes feel much more dangerous.

Why This Movie is Different

I liked that the movie didn’t just focus on action. It focused on the “why” behind the betrayal. My favorite part was the face-off between the lead actors. I think Chunky Pandey is finally getting the roles he deserves. He is not just a comedian anymore. He looks mean and cunning in this film. I felt his performance was one of the best things about the movie.

If you are a fan of Sanjay Dutt, you should definitely watch this. But is it worth a 4K watch? I would say yes, but only if you love political dramas. The 4K version makes the cinematic shots look beautiful. If you just want to see the story, a one-time view on a normal screen is enough. I don’t think I would watch it again and again. It is a heavy movie that leaves you feeling a bit sad.
