I just finished watching The Boss of the Underworld, the new action movie starring Jagapati Babu. If you know me, you know I love a good gritty drama. The 4K resolution makes the close-up shots look very sharp. I could see every detail on Jagapati Babu’s face. The lighting in the night scenes was also well done. It did not look too dark or grainy on my screen.

How Good is the Hindi Dubbing?

I have to be honest about the Hindi dubbing. I felt it was a bit of a mixed bag. The voice actor for Jagapati Babu has a deep voice. It matches his personality. However, the lip-sync was off in many places.

I noticed that the Hindi dialogues were sometimes longer than the original Telugu lines. This made the scenes look a bit awkward. Some of the side characters had very loud voices. However, I don’t think it is a “must-watch” in 4K. The visuals are nice, but the story is not very fresh. I felt I had seen this kind of movie many times before. The Hindi dubbing issues also took me out of the experience. I would say this is a good one-time watch for a Sunday afternoon. You don’t need a high-end home theater to enjoy it. A regular HD screen is more than enough.
