I recently sat down to re-watch The Xpose in 4K, and it was quite an experience. If you love Bollywood masala, you probably remember this 2014 musical thriller. However, I noticed some issues with the Hindi dubbing quality. In 4K, you can see the actors’ faces very closely. Because of this, I noticed that the lip-sync is off in many scenes. Sometimes, the audio feels like it was recorded in a studio later. It does not always match the lip movements of the actors on screen.

The background music is very loud. At times, the loud music hides the dialogues. I felt that the sound mixing could have been better for a 4K release. Comparing Director Anant Mahadevan’s Work

I have seen many films by director Anant Mahadevan. He is known for making different kinds of movies. For example, he made Aksar, which was a smooth romantic thriller. He also made Dil Maange More, which was a sweet light-hearted story.

When I compare The Xpose to those films, it feels very different. This movie is much louder and more dramatic. While Aksar had a serious tone, The Xpose feels like a parody at times.
