Unseen Movie Review: Suniel Shetty and Celina Jaitly

I recently sat down to watch the movie Unseen, which many people also know as Red Alert: The War Within. This film features Suniel Shetty and Celina Jaitly in very different roles. I have always seen Suniel Shetty as an action hero or a comedy star. In this movie, he plays a simple cook named Narasimha. The story is about how he gets stuck with a group of Naxalites. It is a serious film that tries to show a real social issue.

Suniel Shetty and the Cast

I must say, Suniel Shetty surprised me with his acting. He looks very tired and scared, which fits the character. He does not use his big muscles to fight everyone. Instead, he shows his pain through his eyes. Celina Jaitly also has a good role. She plays a girl who has suffered a lot. While she does not have much dialogue, her presence adds value to the film. I liked how the actors stayed very natural throughout the movie.

How it Compares to Other Anant Mahadevan Films

The director, Anant Mahadevan, is known for making movies that feel real. I have watched his other films like Mee Sindhutai Sapkal and Rough Book. You can find more reviews of his realistic style on hdfolders.com.

Compared to his other works, Unseen is much more violent. His other movies are usually soft and emotional. This one is gritty and dark. However, the soul of the movie is the same. He likes to focus on the struggles of the common man. He does not add unnecessary songs or dance numbers. This makes the movie feel like a documentary at times.

Technical Quality & Hindi Dubbing

I watched this movie in 4K resolution to see the details. The picture quality is quite sharp. I liked the color grading because it looks very natural. The forest scenes do not look like a studio set. They look raw and green. The shadows and light in the jungle look great on a big screen.

However, I had some issues with the Hindi dubbing. Even though the actors are speaking Hindi, the sync is not perfect. In many scenes, I noticed that the lip movement does not match the sound. It feels like the dialogues were recorded much later in a studio. The background noise sometimes drowns out the voices.

If you are a fan of technical perfection, this might annoy you. The dubbing lacks the “live” feel that modern movies have. But the voice acting itself is good. The actors put a lot of emotion into their lines.

Viewer’s Verdict: 4K Watch or One-Time View?

Is this movie worth a 4K watch? I would say it is a one-time view for most people. The 4K resolution makes the forest look beautiful. But the story is very heavy and sad. It is not a movie you would want to watch again and again with family.

If you love Suniel Shetty, you should definitely watch it once. It shows his range as a serious actor. If you are looking for a fun Bollywood movie, this is not for you. This is a movie for people who like deep stories about real-life problems.

Conclusion

Overall, Unseen is a brave attempt to show a difficult topic. The acting is the best part of the film. The technical side is okay, but the Hindi dubbing could have been much better. I wish the lip-sync was more accurate to make the experience smooth. It is a good film for a quiet weekend when you want to see something meaningful.

My Rating: 3.5/5
