I recently watched Anthony Kaun Hai? on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Arshad Warsi and Sanjay Dutt are back together in this film. I was really curious to see if they could recreate the Munna Bhai magic. This movie is a mix of comedy, mystery, and a bit of action. It is set in the beautiful streets of Bangkok.

The Story and Characters

The story follows a small-time conman named Champ, played by Arshad Warsi. He gets into a lot of trouble and ends up in jail. There, he meets a mysterious man who tells him about a huge diamond. On the other side, we have Sanjay Dutt playing a cool hitman named Master.

I think Arshad Warsi is the soul of this movie. His comic timing is always great. Sanjay Dutt looks very stylish with his long hair and overcoats. The chemistry between them is good, but it is not as strong as their previous hits. You can read more about the cast on the official Wikipedia page.

Director Raj Kaushal’s Style

This movie is directed by Raj Kaushal. I have seen his other films like Shaadi Ka Laddoo and Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi. His style is very modern and urban. He likes to keep the visuals very clean and stylish.

Compared to his older films, Anthony Kaun Hai? feels much bigger. The locations in Thailand look very expensive. However, I felt the script was a bit weak in the second half. His other movies were simple, but this one tries to be a complex thriller. It succeeds in some parts but fails in others. If you like his style, check out our other reviews at hdfolders.com.

Technical Quality & Hindi Dubbing

I watched the 4K version of this movie. I must say, the picture quality is very sharp. The colors look very real and not too bright. The skin tones of the actors look natural. The 4K resolution helps you see the details of Bangkok very clearly.

Now, let’s talk about the Hindi dubbing and audio. Since some parts were shot with sync sound and others were dubbed, there is a slight mismatch. In some scenes, the lip-sync does not match the heavy dialogues perfectly. I noticed that the background music sometimes hides the voices.

The Hindi dubbing quality is decent but not perfect. At times, the voice of the supporting actors feels a bit flat. It does not have the depth of a high-budget modern film. However, Arshad and Sanjay have dubbed their own lines. That makes the experience much better for fans like me.

What I Liked and What I Didn’t

I liked the funny scenes between Arshad and Minissha Lamba. The mystery of “Who is Anthony?” keeps you interested for a while. The songs are also quite catchy.

On the down side, the movie feels very long. Some scenes could have been cut to make it faster. The climax felt a bit rushed to me. I expected a bigger twist at the end.

Viewer’s Verdict: 4K Watch or One-Time View?

Is this movie worth a 4K watch? Well, if you are a big fan of Sanjay Dutt’s style, go for it. The 4K version makes him look like a total superstar. The visuals are great for a big screen.

But if you are looking for a deep story, this is just a one-time watch. It is a fun movie to watch with friends while eating popcorn. It is not a masterpiece, but it is not bad either.

Conclusion

Overall, I had a fun time watching this movie. It has comedy, style, and good locations. The technical quality in 4K is impressive, even if the dubbing has small issues. It is a light-hearted thriller for a bored weekend.
