The skin tones of the actors look natural. The colors are bright but they do not hurt the eyes. I did not see much grain or noise in the dark scenes.

However, I need to talk about the Hindi dubbing and audio sync. Since this film was handled by a team that often does South Indian films, the audio feels a bit strange. I noticed that in many scenes, the lip-sync does not match perfectly. It feels like the voices were recorded in a studio much later.

The voices are clear, but they don’t always feel like they are coming from the actors on screen. I found this a bit distracting. The background music is also a bit too loud at times. It sometimes hides the dialogues. If you are a person who notices small details, this might bother you. But for a casual watch, it is fine.

You might be wondering if you should watch this in 4K. In my opinion, if you are a die-hard fan of Smita Patil, the 4K version is a must. You get to see her expressions in great detail. It makes the emotional scenes feel much deeper.

But if you are just looking for a random Sunday movie, it might be a one-time view. The story is good, but the technical flaws in the dubbing take away some of the fun. I would suggest watching it once to appreciate the hard work of the actors. The 4K quality definitely makes the experience better than the old DVD versions.

Overall, Farishta is a beautiful movie with a lot of heart. Smita Patil is the real star here. She carries the whole film on her shoulders.
