Technical Quality & Hindi Dubbing

I watched the 4K restored version of this film. I must say, the picture quality is very impressive. The black and white frames look sharp. The contrast is much better than the old DVD versions. I didn’t see much grain or noise in the dark scenes.

However, I have some mixed feelings about the Hindi dubbing. In many scenes, the audio does not match the lip-sync perfectly. I noticed that Dev Anand’s fast dialogue delivery sometimes goes out of sync with the video. This can be a bit distracting if you watch closely.

The background score is okay, but it feels a bit loud in some parts. I wish they had cleaned up the audio as much as they cleaned the video. The dubbing quality feels a bit dated compared to the fresh 4K visuals.

Is this movie worth watching in 4K? I would say yes, but only if you are a hardcore fan of the leads. The 4K restoration makes the actors look great. You can see the details in their costumes and expressions. It feels like watching a fresh piece of history.
